Matthew RogersAward winning composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Rogers’ musical output is as diverse as his interests.

He has composed numerous soundtracks for documentaries, animations, feature films, short films, television series, and video games. He has been nominated for four Leo awards and has won the award for ‘Best Score in a Short Drama’ in 2009 and 2010.

Awarded the Vancouver New Music Young Composers award in 2003, Matthew has been commissioned by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble, the Laudate Singers, and Vancouver New Music. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia Music Composition program as well as the Capilano College Jazz Studies Program.

From 2004 to 2006, he apprenticed with Vancouver film composer Ari Wise working on such shows as “Falcon Beach”, “X-Quest” and “How Do They Do It?”.

As a music producer Matthew has worked with the likes of Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar, Grady), Steven Drake (The Odds, The Tragically Hip), and Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Basia Bulat).
